This Saturday, I’m leaving for a month. Where am I going? England! 🙂 I will be living with my fiancĂ© and trying to get as many things sorted out as possible. We’re getting married this autumn, so the more I accomplish now, the easier things will be for the both of us when it’s time for me to actually move.

What does this mean with regards to commissions? I’m still accepting them, and updating my queue. The thing is, there may be more of a delay than I had at first told you because of my travelling. I am going to focus on the European commissions while I am in England, because it will be faster for European customers to receive them from there. My queue page will be rearranged to reflect this. No one has been forgotten or ignored. If I finish all of the European commissions during my month stay, I will work on the North American ones again; I won’t stall on your projects just because I’m in the UK.

Thank you all for supporting me by ordering items, spreading the word about my site, or even just reading my blog. It means so much to me to help support myself by doing something I truly love, and something that I hope makes others happy.

Snow snow snow

Every week, another snow storm. I should be happy, because snow means cold weather, and cold weather is prime knitting time. However, I’ve never been a fan of winter–not even when I was in elementary school and we got snow days. (Okay, snow days were probably the only good part of winter.) Lately I’ve been trying my best to ignore the snow, even as it interferes with my ability to get to the post office, but it simply can’t be done.

I just have to hope that it all stops soon, and that it will actually be warm in March. That isn’t too much to hope for the month when spring comes, is it?

Sometime later tonight, I need to take pictures of my latest work and make an “examples” page on here. I’ve been knitting a little too much, by which I mean I’ve been ignoring my site. That’s not something I want to do.

Time to test the waters.

It might be an odd time of year to use that phrase, considering all the snow that is blanketing my lawn outside, but it rings true nonetheless. It’s time for me to get my blog, and my new shop, in gear.

I sell knitted goods of all sorts, mainly related to video games. Why? Because gamers need to keep warm just like everyone else! Right now my shop is on Etsy, and it’s empty, but I should have some items to fill it soon. It’s also called Mercurial Knits.

However, since this is the blog portion of the site and not the store, I’ll also share some free knitting patterns, a few of my favourite games, and probably more. Thanks for visiting, and hopefully there will be more to see here soon.
